What this is
Gage.Education is a K-12 virtual school currently in open beta. It is free. Nothing is charged, and no payment method is collected.
What it is not, yet: it is not accredited by any recognized accrediting body, it does not itself confer a diploma recognized by any state, and it is not a substitute for compulsory-education registration where you live. Families using it are responsible for meeting their own jurisdiction’s requirements, in most of the United States that means registering as a homeschool. We will tell you this again during enrollment, because it is the thing most likely to be missed.
What we promise
- Nothing counts as learned until it is proved unaided, at least eight days later, on questions not seen before.
- Human review requires a verified assigned reviewer. No machine should decide admission, exclusion, or a disciplinary outcome.
- We publish our own audit, including the parts that fail. The current readiness score and the open failures are on the homepage.
- One-click export and one-click erasure, always, without asking us.
What we do not promise
- Any particular outcome. No child has yet completed a year here. We have no outcome data and we will not pretend otherwise.
- That the beta is complete. Parts are unfinished; the unfinished parts are named on the homepage rather than hidden.
- Uninterrupted availability. The school runs offline once loaded, which covers most outages, but not all of them.
Acceptable use
The school is for learning. Do not attempt to extract answers from the tutor, submit another person’s work as your own, or use the platform to harass anyone. A child who tries to jailbreak the tutor is being curious rather than criminal, and will be met with a conversation rather than a ban.
Ending it
Leave whenever you like. Export first if you want the record; erase if you want it gone. We do not require notice for local use. Local erasure does not remove server-held copies, service logs or exports.
